"The world as we know is an elephant's howdah; The elephant stands on the back of a turtle; The turtle in turn on a rock in the ocean." Robert Frost

Mother's Day at Conner Prairie
Last weekend was beautiful so Josh, Annie, Morgan, Wyatt, Sage, Doug and I decided to go to Conner Prairie. I thought it would be crowded since it was Mother's Day but actually there were very few people there. The temperature was warm but not hot, plenty of sunshine and the smell of wood burning in the various fireplaces was heavenly! The barn with all of the baby animals was the hit of the day. Wyatt especially wanted to cross the bridge to Liberty Corner where you leave 1836 behind and cross over into 1886. The kids played in the meadows just like the baby goats and lambs. It was a wonderful visit.
